Detroit Lions’ Nate Burleson Out for NFL Season With Broken Leg

October 24, 2012

Nate Burleson will miss the rest of the National Football League season after breaking his leg in Detroit’s 13-7 loss at Chicago on Oct. 22, Lions coach Jim Schwartz said.

Wide receiver Burleson, 31, was injured in the third quarter as he was tackled on a 16-yard reception. He tried to stand and fell back to the ground.

Second-year receiver Titus Young and rookie Ryan Broyles will move into Burleson’s spot for the remainder of the season.
