Turkey will have 90 more shopping malls by 2016, Hurriyet says, citing a report by Boston Consulting Group. * Turkish retail industry attracts local and foreign investors’ interest as rentable space increases due to fast urbanization, the report says * With 100 square meters per thousand people, rentable space still behind European avg 230 square meters * Currently Turkey has 310 shopping malls and in the last 3 yrs, 5 local retail chains have opened 1,300 new shops and 5 foreign retail chains 200 new shops
