Kazakhstan’s industrial production expanded 0.5 percent in January through September from a year earlier, led by growth in copper output, the state statistics agency said.
Copper production climbed 8.6 percent to 270,100 metric tons in the period, the Astana-based the agency said today on its website. Rolled steel output slumped 14 percent to 2 million tons in the period, the agency said.
Oil and gas condensate output fell 1.7 percent to 58.7 million tons, while natural gas rose 2.4 percent to 30 billion cubic meters, the agency said.
