U.S. exporters reported sales of 100,000 metric tons of corn to Mexico, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said today in a statement.
Exporters have options on the origin of the grain, the USDA said. Of the total, 33,333 tons are for delivery in the year that started Sept. 1 and 66,667 tons are for delivery in the year starting Sept. 1, 2013, the agency said.
Shippers must report any export transaction of 100,000 tons or more for any commodity sold in one day to a single destination.
