U.S. Military Commander to Talk Syria, Iran in Turkey, NTV Says

Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will hold talks in Turkey on Syria, Iran and regional issues, including cooperation against Kurdish militants, NTV said, without citing anyone.

Dempsey is scheduled to arrive in Ankara on Sept. 16 and conduct the meetings on Sept. 17, the Istanbul-based news channel said.

It will be Dempsey’s first official visit to Turkey, NTV said.
