A Romanian unit of Portugal’s Martifer SGPS SA (MAR) said it completed a 1.5 megawatt solar plant in the eastern European country.
Martifer connected the plant, which uses photovoltaic panels, to the Romanian power grid on Aug. 2 and will supply about 1,000 houses, according to an e-mailed statement today.
The plant is owned by Eurowind Energy A/S, a Denmark-based private company, and is located in the eastern Romanian village of Pufesti. Martifer acted as a contractor for the project, it said in the statement.
