Egypt Said to Buy 50,000 Tons of Raw Sugar in Sept. 2 Tender

Egypt’s state-owned Sugar and Integrated Industries Co. bought 50,000 metric tons of raw sugar in a tender Sept. 2, according to two people with direct knowledge of the process.

The company paid $481.50 a ton including insurance and freight, said the people, who declined to be identified because they are not authorized to speak to the media.
