Ukraine’s grain exports climbed almost 83 percent since the marketing year started on July 1 compared with a year earlier, Interfax-Ukraine newswire reported, citing Agriculture Ministry data.
The country exported 2.74 million metric tons of grain, according to the Kiev-based newswire. Wheat shipments doubled to 1.17 million tons, of which 823,600 tons was milling wheat, Interfax reported.
Corn exports accounted for 1.04 million tons compared with 48,400 tons a year ago, according to Interfax.
