Putin Blames Corruption, Police for Spread of Russia Nationalism

President Vladimir Putin blamed corruption and negligence among law enforcement for the spread of inter-ethnic conflicts in Russia.

“Corruption, prejudice and the inability of the authorities to guarantee justice and protect human rights are the drivers of inter-ethnic tensions,” Putin said today at the first meeting of his Council for National Relations in Saransk in the Volga region.
