Djokovic Cut Up Rackets After London Olympic Loss, Divac Says

August 22, 2012

Serbia’s Novak Djokovic cut up his rackets after losing to Juan Martin del Potro in London on Aug. 5, Sportski Zurnal newspaper reported, citing Vlade Divac, the head of the Serbian Olympic Committee.

Djokovic was “in agony, sawing all his rackets” when Divac went to see him after the game, according to the report by the Belgrade-based paper. Djokovic’s “main goals this year were Roland Garos and the Olympic Games,” where he finished fourth and won no medal, the report quoted Divac, a former basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers, as saying.
