The Canadian cattle herd as of July 1 fell 0.1 percent from a year earlier to the smallest since 1994, Statistics Canada said.
Producers held 13.52 million cattle as of July 1, down from 13.53 million a year earlier, the government agency said today in a report. The country had 12.87 million head of hogs, up 1.5 percent from 12.685 million.
