BNP Got ‘Signs of Interest’ for Egypt Unit, Decraene Tells Echos

BNP Paribas SA (BNP) got “several signs of interest” for its Egyptian consumer-banking unit, Les Echos reported, citing Stefaan Decraene, the bank’s head of international retail banking.

BNP Paribas may invite within 15 days potential bidders to file preliminary offers for the Egyptian unit, the daily newspaper also reported, without saying where it got the information.
