India’s Malabar Cements Seeks 48,000 Tons of Imported Coal

Malabar Cements Ltd. is seeking 48,000 metric tons of imported thermal coal, according to a document on its website.

The Kerala-based state-owned cement maker is seeking coal with 6,300 kilocalorie per kilogram air-dried basis, 12 percent maximum total moisture, 15 percent maximum ash and 1 percent maximum sulfur to be delivered at Cochin port, according to the tender document. It closes Aug. 29, and bids will be opened on Aug. 31.
