Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper reiterated that the government will thoroughly analyze Cnooc Ltd.’s bid for Nexen Inc. (NXY) under the country’s foreign takeover law.

Harper, speaking to reporters in Vancouver, said the final outcome of the review should not be assumed.
