Ukrainian Grain Exports Seen by ProAgro as Falling 45% in July

Ukraine’s exports of grain fell 45 percent in July from the previous month as shipments of corn slumped, agriculture researcher ProAgro said, citing preliminary information from the country’s ports.

There were 852,440 metric tons of grain exports in July, compared with 1.56 million tons in June, ProAgro wrote in an e- mailed statement today. Corn shipments declined by 52 percent to 527,610 tons from 1.1 million tons, it said.

Exports of wheat fell to 224,560 tons from 278,710 tons, according to the researcher based in the capital Kiev. Barley shipments declined to 87,000 tons from 157,620 tons.
