Trading volume of the heating oil contract for delivery in New York on the ICE Futures Europe exchange reached a record of 25,567 contracts yesterday, according to the bourse.

The previous high was 20,813 on June 19, ICE said in a report published on its website today. The benchmark heating oil futures on the New York Mercantile had a turnover of 170,977 lots yesterday.

In Europe, the trading volume on the region’s benchmark gasoil contract on the ICE exchange was 761,439 contracts.
