Goldman Sachs, SocGen Picked by Italy to Help on Asset Sales

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS:US) and Societe Generale SA (GLE) were selected by the Italian Treasury to give valuations to state-run companies that the government is considering selling.

Goldman Sachs will evaluate Fintecna SpA and Paris-based Societe Generale will look at Sace SpA and Simest SpA, the Treasury said today in an e-mailed statement.
