Canadian mills processed 12 percent more canola in the year ended July 31, and soybean crushing rose 4.1 percent, an industry group said.
Mills crushed 6.727 million metric tons of canola, also known as rapeseed, compared with 5.996 million a year earlier, the Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Canadian Oilseed Processors Association said today in an e-mail. Soybean processing increased to 1.391 million tons from 1.337 million.
