Japanese investors were net sellers of foreign bonds during the week ended July 27 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors sold 8.9 billion yen ($113.5 million) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 12.6 billion yen in overseas stocks and bought 22 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net purchase of 0.5 billion yen.
Foreign investors bought 57 billion yen in Japanese bonds, sold 76.5 billion yen in stocks, and bought 636 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 616.6 billion yen.
