ISRAEL DAYBOOK: Netanyahu Says Still Debating Iran Attack; Allot

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he’s still debating with government advisers whether to strike Iranian nuclear facilities.


     WHAT TO WATCH:
* Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz and Bank of Israel Governor
Stanley Fischer discuss the economy at a Parliament Finance
Committee.

   EQUITY MOVERS:
* Allot Communications Ltd. (ALLT IT) fell in New York to trade
at the biggest discount to its Tel Aviv shares in three weeks on
concern delays in securing contracts and an acquisition
announced yesterday will erode earnings.
* Alvarion Ltd. (ALVR IT) reports second-quarter financial
results today.
* Nice Systems Ltd. (NICE IT) reports second-quarter financial
results today.

    MARKETS:
* The TA-25 Index dropped 0.4 percent to 1,105.79 on July 31.
* The yield on the Mimshal Shiklit government bonds due January
2022 was at 3.94 percent.
* The shekel was little changed at 3.9850 a dollar at 8:20 a.m.
in Tel Aviv.
* Corn for December increased 1.3 percent to $8.155 a bushel.
* Crude oil for September delivery slipped 0.2 percent to $87.89
a barrel.
* Gold for immediate delivery was little changed at $1,614.50 an
ounce.
