Equate Petrochemical Co., a joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Co. of Kuwait and Dow Chemical Co., said it put out a fire today in part of a manufacturing unit.

The fire didn’t affect production operations or other production units and no one was injured in the incident, Kuwait- based Equate said in an e-mailed statement.
