Petrokemija d.d., Croatia’s largest fertilizer producer, signed a natural-gas supply contract with E.ON Ruhrgas AG.

The contract will secure lower gas prices from August through September this year and is diversifying gas supplies, the company said today in a statement to the Zagreb stock exchange.

Spokesman Tomislav Pelin declined to elaborate when reached by phone at the company’s headquarters in Kutina, Croatia.
