Greece decided to sell Agricultural Bank of Greece SA, Imerisia reported, without citing anyone.
The decision to sell the bank came after a meeting between Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras, Bank of Greece (TELL) Governor George Provopoulos and Alternate Finance Minister Christos Staikouras late yesterday, the Athens-based newspaper said.
The sale of the bank will be completed within the week and no job cuts are planned, the newspaper said. The three also discussed the recapitalization of Greece’s four biggest lenders, the newspaper said.
