Copper Had a Dominant Position on LME as of July 17

A dominant copper position existed on the London Metal Exchange as of July 17.

One company held 50 percent to 79 percent of inventories plus open positions expiring in three days, the LME said in its Warrant Tom Banding report today. The day before, one company held 50 percent to 79 percent of inventories and open positions expiring in three days and one company had 30 percent to 39 percent of the positions at the same time.
