Brazil’s TIM Appeals Regulator’s Decision on New Phone Chips

Tim Participacoes SA (TIMP3) has appealed to a federal court a decision by Brazil’s telecommunications regulator, known as Anatel, which banned sales of new phone chips in 18 states and Distrito Federal, the company said in an e-mailed statement sent yesterday.
