Italian prosecutors in the city of Trani opened a criminal probe into alleged manipulation of Euribor and Libor, said consumer groups Adusbef and Federconsumatori after they filed a complaint.
Prosecutors are seeking documents amid estimates by the groups that Italian mortgage holders suffered damages of at least 3 billion euros, the consumer groups said in an e-mailed statement today.
