Elia Plans 3 Billion-Euro Investment Over 10 Years, Trends Says

Elia System Operator NV (ELI), the operator of electricity grids in Belgium and eastern Germany, plans to invest 3 billion euros ($3.7 billion) over the next 10 years to enhance its grid and develop an off-shore wind farm, Belgian magazine Trends reported.

The company is seeking to improve its grid connections with France, the Netherlands, Germany and the U.K., Trends reported, citing an interview with Jacques Vandermeiren and Daniel Dobbeni, the company’s incoming and outgoing chief executive officers.
