Corn futures for December delivery dropped 0.3 percent to $7.8225 a bushel at 9:44 a.m. on the Chicago Board of Trade, after rallying as much as 1.9 percent to $7.99. The record for a most-active contract was $7.9925 on June 27, 2008.
