Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz met in Jeddah with Marine Corps General James Mattis, chief of the U.S. Central Command, the official Saudi Press Agency said, without saying where it got the information.

The two discussed “matters of common interest,” the Riyadh-based news service reported yesterday. Salman met with U.S. Central Intelligence Agency Director David Petraeus in Jeddah on July 10.
