The Czech Republic’s PX (PX) stock index fell 0.7 percent to 901.60 at the close in Prague.

CEZ AS (CEZ) , the biggest Czech power producer, slid 1.2 percent to 728 koruna. The government plans to charge generators for using the grid, Lidove Noviny newspaper reported today, citing Pavel Gebauer, an energy official from the Industry and Trade Ministry.
Komercni Banka AS (KOMB CP), a unit of Societe Generale SA, added 1.2 percent to 3,455 koruna, its highest close in more than a week. Czech banks’ capital and liquidity are strong, the International Monetary Fund and Moody’s Investors Service said in separate reports yesterday.
