The IGBC Index (IGBC) rose 0.6 percent to 13,653.13, while the Colcap Index increased 0.3 percent to 1,660.46.
Financial industry companies advanced as Colombia’s outstanding credit expanded 18.3 percent in May from a year earlier, according to government data.
Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA (PFAVAL CB), Colombia’s biggest banking group by assets, rose 2.2 percent to 1,180 pesos. Bancolombia SA (PFBCOLO) , Colombia’s largest bank by market capitalization, gained 0.9 percent to 27,760 pesos.
Oil producers gained as crude rose to a seven-week high in New York.
Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (PRE) , which operates the country’s largest oil field, gained 0.8 percent to 40,620 pesos. Canacol Energy Ltd. (CNE) , the Calgary-based oil company that operates fields in Colombia, rose 0.6 percent to 795 pesos. Petrominerales Ltd. (PMGC) , a Calgary-based oil company that operates in the Andean region, rose 0.7 percent to 17,420 pesos.
