U.S. exporters reported sales of 107,214 metric tons of wheat to Japan for delivery by May 31, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said today in a statement.
Of the total, 69,784 tons is hard red spring wheat and 37,430 tons is soft white wheat, the agency said.
Shippers must report any export transaction of 100,000 tons or more for any commodity sold in one day to a single destination.
