Czech Stocks: Telefonica Czech, New World Resources Are Active

The Czech Republic’s PX (PX) stock index slid 0.3 percent to 901.40 at the end of trading in Prague.

The following were among the most active equities in the Czech market today. Stock symbols follow company names.

New World Resources Plc (NWR) , the biggest Czech coking- coal producer, climbed the most this month, rising 1.3 percent to 102.29 koruna. Europe’s benchmark coal derivatives jumped 0.9 percent to $97.20 a metric ton in the Netherlands.

Telefonica Czech Republic AS (SPTT) rose 0.5 percent to 392.2 koruna. The country’s biggest phone company was raised to neutral from underweight at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
