U.A.E. Interrogates Suspects on State Security Threats, WAM Says

The United Arab Emirates public prosecutor is investigating a group of suspects accused of forming and managing an organization to conduct “crimes against state security and the constitution,” the WAM state news service said on its website, citing the prosecutor.

The defendants, who are also charged with jeopardizing “the main principles underlying the rule in the state” and for having ties with “foreign agendas and organizations,” were detained and are in custody pending investigation, said Salem Saeed, the public prosecutor, according to the news service.
