Poland’s WIG20 Index (WIG20) advanced 1 percent to 2,176.36 at 11:07 a.m. in Warsaw, paring its decline for the week to 4.1 percent.
The following are among the most active stocks on the Warsaw Stock Exchange today. Stock symbols follow company names.
Azoty Tarnow (ATT PW), Poland’s largest chemicals maker, jumped 4 percent to 37.44 zloty, the steepest gain in two weeks after OAO Acron of Russia increased its bid for the company to 45 zloty from 36 zloty a share.
Polimex-Mostostal SA (PXM) , the country’s second-largest builder, declined 3.8 percent to 0.77 zloty, falling for a second day, after saying it started talks with creditors to extend repayment of bonds and loans.
