Argentina Appoints Administrator for Distributor Edesur
Argentina’s government appointed Luis Barletta as administrator of Empresa Distribuidora de Energia Sur SA, or Edesur.
Barletta will oversee the electricity distributor for the next 45 days, according to resolution 183/2012 issued by electricity regulator ENRE.
The company missed a 150 million-peso ($33 million) payment this week to wholesaler Cammesa and had sought funds from state- owned Banco de la Nacion Argentina, Ambito Financiero reported today.
