Japanese investors were net buyers of foreign bonds during the week ended July 6 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors bought 353.1 billion yen ($4.4 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, bought 10.3 billion yen in overseas stocks and bought 31.2 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net purchase of 394.6 billion yen.
Foreign investors sold 20.7 billion yen in Japanese bonds, sold 3.6 billion yen in stocks, and bought 1536.5 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 1512.2 billion yen.
