Mark Bourgeois, head of the Americas at Credit Suisse Group AG’s (CS:US) asset management group, has left to become chief executive officer and president of placement agent and advisory firm Atlantic-Pacific Capital, according to a statement from New York-based Atlantic-Pacific.
Alastair Cairns will replace Bourgeois as head of Americas for the Swiss bank’s money management group and Charles Shaffer is taking over Bourgeois’s role as head of distribution, said Suzanne Fleming, a spokeswoman for Credit Suisse Asset Management.
While at Credit Suisse, Bourgeois oversaw fund investments made by the bank in the Americas, and headed distribution for the asset management division. Atlantic-Pacific Capital helps alternative asset managers raise money.
