Chubb Second-Quarter Catastrophe Losses May Reach $240 Million

Chubb Corp., the insurer of corporate boards and high-end homes, said second-quarter pretax catastrophe costs may be $200 million to $240 million.

The costs were primarily related to hail and wind storms in the U.S., the Warren, New Jersey-based insurer said today in a statement.
