China reaffirmed its support for the European Union’s efforts to tackle its sovereign debt crisis as the two sides concluded two days of talks as part of the EU- China Strategic Dialogue today.

The two sides agreed to address their differences in a constructive way and the EU affirmed its respect for China’s territorial integrity, according to a joint statement released today after the talks.

China and the EU also discussed their desire to develop trade and investment links and will look at new ways to collaborate, EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton said in a separate statement.
