Cameron’s Office Welcomes Diamond Decision to Forgo Bonuses

July 10, 2012

Former Barclays Plc (BARC) Chief Executive Officer Robert Diamond’s decision to give up 20 million pounds of his bonus entitlement shows he understands the depth of public concern over the Libor scandal, Prime Minister David Cameron’s spokesman said.

‘The decision to forgo the bonus is a sign that they understand public concerns and that they understand that there is a need for a change in culture in banking,’’ the spokesman, Steve Field, told reporters in London today.
