Cable Says Banks ‘Throttling’ Recovery by Holding Back Credit

U.K. Business Secretary Vince Cable said an “obsession” with short-term profits at banks was “throtting” the economic recovery as banks withheld credit from companies. He was speaking in an interview on BBC television today.
