Canada’s Ivey purchasing managers’ index was 49.0 in June, following a prior reading of 60.5 in May, according to a statement on the University of Western Ontario business school’s website.
Readings of more than 50 indicate purchasing by governments and companies advanced. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg News forecast a reading of 57.5, the median of 12 estimates.
