Vestas Wind Systems A/S (VWS), the world’s largest turbine maker, won a contract to provide and install 50.4 megawatts of power equipment at a wind farm in Mexico’s western state of Jalisco.
Vestas expects to start delivering 28 of its V100-1.8 megawatt turbines to REM Regeneracion Electrica Mexicana S.A. de C.V. in the fourth quarter, Aarhus, Denmark-based Vestas said today in a statement.
The Los Altos wind farm will produce 180 gigawatt-hours a year once it begins operating in the second quarter of 2013, according to the statement.
