Persian Gulf Stocks: Agility in Kuwait and Tamweel in Dubai

Dubai’s benchmark DFM General Index (DFMGI) fell 0.8 percent, the most since June 14, to 1,489.58 at the close in the emirate. Qatar’s QE Index (DSM) was litle changed.

The following shares were active in the Persian Gulf region. Stock symbols are in parentheses.

Agility (AGLTY) climbed to the highest level in more than a month, gaining 1.3 percent to 390 fils. The Kuwaiti storage and logistics provider said it won contracts valued at $500 million at the Gorgon natural-gas project in Western Australia.

Tamweel PJSC (TAMWEEL) advanced to the highest level since April 25, rallying 2.4 percent to 1.26 dirhams, amid investor speculation the Dubai-based mortgage provider may expand into Saudi Arabia after the kingdom passed a mortgage law.
