Japanese investors were net buyers of foreign bonds during the week ended June 29 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors bought 1340.7 billion yen ($16.8 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, bought 20.6 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 55.8 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net purchase of 1305.5 billion yen.
Foreign investors bought 377.6 billion yen in Japanese bonds, sold 50 billion yen in stocks, and bought 782.1 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 1109.7 billion yen.
