The European Commission gave conditional approval to a bid by Swiss Post and France’s La Poste to combine their cross-border mail activities.
The commission, the 27-nation European Union’s senior antitrust regulator, said that Swiss Post had agreed to sell its French subsidiary as a condition for permission to create a joint venture for international mail delivery services.
The commission commented in an e-mailed statement today.
