BBC May Announce New Director General Today, Guardian Says

The British Broadcasting Corp.’s next director general may be announced today, according to the Guardian newspaper. The shortlisted candidates include the broadcaster’s current chief operating officer, Caroline Thomson, BBC Vision director George Entwistle, and the chief executive officer of the country’s broadcasting regulator, Ed Richards, the newspaper reported, without revealing where the information came from.

A fourth candidate could enter the race for the BBC’s top job but their identity is not known, according to the Guardian.
