The benchmark BUX (BUX) index rose 1.1 percent to 17,461.35 by the close in Budapest.

The following were among the most active shares in the Hungarian market today. Stock symbols follow company names.

OTP Bank Nyrt. (OTP) , Hungary’s largest lender, advanced 2.1 percent to 3,575 forint. Emerging-market stocks rose on expectations that central banks from Europe to China will ease monetary policy to spur growth.

Mol Nyrt. (MOL) , Hungary’s largest refiner rose 1.6 percent to 16,695 forint. Oil rebounded on speculation sanctions against Iran will curb supply and that governments will offer stimulus to boost their economies.
