A Turkish court decided to release Aziz Yildirim, chairman of Turkish soccer club Fenerbahce Futbol AS, after he spent one year in jail for alleged involvement in match-fixing, Anatolia reported.

Yildirim was sentenced by a judge today to a total of six years and three months in jail on grounds of setting up a gang to commit crime and match-fixing, the state-run news agency in Ankara said.
